This is the reason iPhones were made. Love this app! Runs perfectly and Ill always have it.

This a decent app for a dollar and add props to my Halloween get up. But wheres Uhura & other supporting cast. I bought Ep2 hoping to get more diversity and was disappointed not much different.

to flip open or close you almost strain your wrist and half the time it doesnt open ( iPhone 5s) please update to fix its useless if you can flip open or close

No update for two years? No new features? Not even iPhone 5/C/S optimization? I guess once youve got our money, you dont really need to care about your consumers, right.

Is it possible to have the next update be more accessable, put numbers on the phone part of the communicator? And to let the user know where he or she is when pressing the buttons at the bottom of the communicator? These requests will make this app complete! Thanks.

Fun but limited. Nice if you could have a ‘shuffle’ setting for the chosen sound effects for each button.

You can make phone calls with the app but it goes straight to the usual iPhone screen to place a normal phone call when what I really wanted was for the app to stay open and to speak to my friends on speaker phone while looking down at my communicator to geek out over. Id like to be able to answer incoming calls by flipping open the communicator, as well as actually use the communicator to talk to other Trekkers that have the app. I actually thought that would be a part of the app without reading into it. Oh, and it would be awesome to use the sounds during conversations so when I say goodbye Spock can say LLAP just before hanging up ;)

This is so much fun to play with. The sound clips are dead on. It is just like the classic communicator.

Over all I think the app is okay. The anamation is great and the detail of how the communicator appears on screen exceeds my expectations. I like how the you can flip open the communicator and either touch to close or flip again to close. Flip open you get the chirp cound and close you get the click sound. My 2 biggest disapointments is that (1) you cant receive calls through the app. as if it was a communicator - you can only make calls. And (2) the phone number display is not formatted correctly. When entering a number i.e. 123-4567, the display reads 123-123-4. The display does read correctly when entering the area code (123-456-7890). I would pay more for for the application if it could act like the "real" thing - both make and receive calls. All the sound effects are great.

This app is cool the only thing I wish they would add is the ability to use the voice activated call feature of the iPhone on the communicator so you could talk to the communicator to make the call. I dont know if that is possible though.

but I love this app. It would be great if the phone theme would stay there during a call.

If you make in app purchases to get more sound effects, only the top 5 will play. As you scroll farther down it just keeps playing the same top 5 or so sounds. You cannot play all the sounds you purchase. On iOS 8.1.3 iPhone 6+. I think this app needs to be updated.

We lost Mr. Spock today. I needed this communicator to remember this great show. It works perfectly. Thank you!

No sound from this app. What a rip off.

I mean it has the sounds and the look, and both are authentic buuuut as far as functionality....it stinks. I would love for the closed lid to replace my lock screen and an option to have the communicator default every time I closed my phone down. Its a cute app, but like I said, thats it? Why is this a paid app if thats all it does?

would like to see better gfx for the lights and buttons but it looks pretty good on a 6+

Can you write an update so it will fit a iPhone 5 screen

This was a fun nifty app. It is quite limited though, as far as what you can do with it. Ive had this app for over four-and-a-years now April 2011) and the last update was in 2012, so theres been really nothing new added to it since it first was released. However, with the most recent update to iOS 9, none of the sound effects work anymore, so that all but renders this App useless. They also never did an update for iOS 8. It seems that this app is no longer supported so Id strongly recommend against buying it now.

Last update on this app was 2012. How about some maintenance here CBS? As we get close to the 50th anniversary of Star Trek it would be nice to see this cleaned up for the newer screen sizes.
